BREAKING NEWS:
A small convoy of merchant vessels, carrying important cargo (energy crystals, nanobots and rage holograms), was attacked by unidentified cruiser ships, leaving 213 citizens from the SLU dead; 106 hailed from Avaerilon.
Avaerilonia Superior is most upset about this blatant attack on us by a hostile, and the Royal 7th Black Star Fleet is now accompanying all convoys to major space ports.
His Galactic Majesty is said to be "weeping and grieving" over the loss of human life."

Solar Flare "No Cause for alarm." Avaerilonia Superior has experienced an abnormal amount of Aurora Draconis in the night skies, recently. Satellite readings suggest our main star, Aura Sol, is undergoing a major solar flare. Some communications on outlying moons and smaller planets have been disrupted, and plants have grown rapidly, but otherwise, nothing major has resulted from the flare.
Binberi People Make Contact A race of people who call themselves "Binberi" have made contact with Avaerilonia. The Binberi are a people with a similar height to humans, slender torsos and short arms, which have four-fingered hands. Each has a pair of large, dark eyes. They have hair similar to humans on their heads and a complex social structure akin to the Japanese.
They made contact when a small spacecraft approached a police vehicle. Although the constables could not understand their speech, sign language and actions were quickly understood by each party.
The Binberi area friendly people from several planets not too far away, and have invited His Galactic Majesty to their home world. His Galactic Majesty accepted with grace, and departs the day after tomorrow with a retinue.

Shortage of Grain "No cause for concern." A shortage of grain, resulting from a mild drought across some of the more fertile regions of Avaerilonia Superior, is an issue to be concerned about, according to the authorities.
Davarme Morvayn told AGN "the less-than-usual yield in this current harvest should not present the planet with a problem." The Minister of Agriculture added "we have enough stored supplies to last several months. Furthermore, more cargo is on its way as we speak." AGN understands that no attacks on convoys have occurred since they were given escorts by warships.
This reassurance calmed markets, which had predicted a slide in grain prices. Currently, prices are stable and economists expect them to remain so.
